Landsat
The world's longest continuously acquired collection of space-based land remote sensing data.
Landsat
is a series of Earth-observing satellite missions jointly
managed by NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey since
1972. The Landsat program has launched 7 satellites
of which 2, Landsat 5 and Landsat 7 are currently in
operation. Archive imagery is available from 6 of
the satellites. The resolution and spectral range of
the satellite is dependent upon which sensors are onboard.
